How to Create and Manage FTP Accounts - WSP

<p><strong>FTP&nbsp;</strong>(File Transport Protocol) is a network protocol used to conveniently transfer files between you and the server or vice versa.</p>

<p>To create an FTP Account:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Log into your WebsitePanel Hosting Space.</li>
	<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>FTP Accounts</strong>&nbsp;under&nbsp;<strong>Hosting Space</strong>.

	<li>Provide the following:
	<ul>
		<li>User name: Username for FTP&nbsp;access.</li>
		<li>Password: Password for FTP access.</li>
		<li>Home folder: &nbsp;This setting lets you specify the default directory for&nbsp;ftp users. &nbsp;Leaving it as a backslash(\) will allow the FTP user to access all your website content.</li>
		<li>Access Rights: This section lets you specify the FTP account's&nbsp;permission.

			<li>Read: This setting allows the FTP user to access the data but not add data.</li>
			<li>Write: This setting allows the FTP user to add data but not access the data.
